Privacy Policy
We keep this simple: we only collect what we need to deliver your printables, and we never sell your details.
Who we are
The Elf Post Office is a small online shop selling printable Christmas downloads at theelfpostoffice.com. If you have any questions about your data, email hello@theelfpostoffice.com.
What we collect and why
- Your email address and name, when you buy or download a printable (including our free ones). We use these to deliver your files, send your receipt and help if something goes wrong with your download.
- Order details, such as what you bought and when, so we can keep proper sales records and support you.
- Marketing emails, only if you ask for them. At checkout you can tick a box to hear about new printables and offers. If you don't tick it, we won't send you marketing emails.
We never see or store your card details. Payments are handled securely by our payment providers.
Who helps us run the shop
We use a few trusted services that process data on our behalf:
- Payhip: checkout, file delivery and our customer list
- Stripe and PayPal: payment processing
- Cloudflare: hosting this website and forwarding emails sent to our address
If you buy from our Etsy shop instead, Etsy's own privacy policy applies to that purchase.
Cookies
This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Our checkout pages, run by Payhip, use cookies needed to make checkout work.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting purposes (normally six years). If you've opted in to emails, we keep your address on our list until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing emails at any time. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, or just email hello@theelfpostoffice.com.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
